Job Title: Operations Technician
Job Description

The Operations Technician 1 position is responsible for the receipt, inventory, storage, withdrawal, and shipment of biological specimens, samples, clinical agents, and materials from multiple commercial and government clients. These materials are stored at temperatures ranging from ambient (room temperature) to -20C with potentially hazardous properties. This position uses database applications and standard precautionary procedures to work independently, be self-directed, communicate effectively, and use good judgment when making decisions. Internal or external client interaction occurs under the guidance of experienced professional or technical staff. This position may also participate in the assembly of kits and label printing.

ResponsibilitiesReceive, inventory, store, withdraw, and ship biological specimens, samples, clinical agents, and materials.Work with materials stored at temperatures ranging from ambient to -20C, which may have hazardous properties.Utilize database applications to manage inventory and shipments.Communicate effectively and use good judgment in decision-making.Interact with internal or external clients under the guidance of experienced staff.Participate in the assembly of kits and label printing.Essential SkillsExperience with repository and cold chain management.Familiarity with sample handling and storage.Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).Experience working with Freezers, including -80 Freezers, Liquid Nitrogen (LN2), and Dry Ice.Strong inventory management and shipping skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrefer experience working with Cold Chain, Dry Ice, Liquid Nitrogen (LN2), and -80 Freezers.Ability to work independently and be self-directed.Effective communication skills.Work Environment

The work environment is a sterile warehouse-type setting with repositories, freezers, and liquid nitrogen tanks. The role operates during the 1st shift from 8am to 5pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00
