Level1: Estimated hourly base pay: $18.73 (minimum) $23.41 (midpoint) $28.09 (maximum) Plus shift differential and overtime
Level 2: Estimated hourly base pay: $20.92 (minimum) $26.15 (midpoint) $31.38 (maximum) Plus shift differential and overtime

Woodward is hiring for a 2nd shift Operations Technician to support production on our Special Processes department. This position is located at our Loves Park Campus, in Loves Park, IL and will be responsible for operations and working to meet our customer demands. What You Will Be Doing
Setting up and operating plating lines, loading and operating vacuum furnaces or air ovens
Following work instructions to document processes and verify parts meet customer and company specifications and quality requirements.
Locating and following work instructions for cleaning (chemical and rinse baths), assembling, coating processes (anodize, hard coat, passivate, impregnate, etc.)
Deburring rack marks and rack/mask parts.
Completing regularly scheduled and in-process visual and measurement inspections of thickness of metal deposit by using instruments, such as micrometers, eddy current or calipers,
Mixing and adding chemicals, plating solutions to tanks per lab recommendations.
Using instruments and chemical test results; move controls on rectifier to adjust flow of current though plating solution from anode to cathode and to permit electrode position of metal on object.
Setting or adjusting tank controls, voltage and amperage, for appropriate temperature.
What We Are Looking For
High School Diploma
Previous heat treat or plating experience is highly desired
Knowledge and ability to read and interpret blueprints is strong preferred
Willing to learn new and challenging processes and techniques
Moderate physical activity requiring agility and dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending and lifting or moving objects.
Work is performed in area with moderate risk or discomfort that may require special safety precautions, such as wearing protective clothing or gear.
May be required to pass Near Vision and/or Color Vision examinations.
Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral to all levels of personnel.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Basic computer skills (email, data entry, etc.).
