The HyCO4 plant is a unique facility: it is the only world-class stand-alone hydrogen producing plant in Europe and the largest Air Products production plant in the Netherlands.

Your role at HyCO4 is to work a shift independently in a 7-shift full-continuous roster. In addition to the required technical and chemical knowledge, there is an extra emphasis on working alone, which requires a high degree of self-reliance and responsibility.

The construction of a carbon capture facility at HyCO4 will be operational in the coming years. You will be joining us during an exciting time as we look to expand the site’s operational capacity, adopt a 2-2-1 shift rooster and be part of the growth of HyCO4 and Air Products. Your responsibilities

You know and understand the EHS procedures and accept the personal responsibilities associated with your job, as described in Global EHS Procedure 25-010106.

You personally contribute to achieving our ‘Zero Incidents’ objective.

You will strive to achieve operational excellence through operational discipline.

You monitor and control the production process, identify deviations and adjust according to guidelines and procedures.

You will coordinate internal and external customers to manage the two hydrogen pipelines and RFG import.

You will be responsible to review and issue safety work permits and apply lock-out tag-out test principles.

You contribute to start-up and shutdown procedures based on experience and review updates with the team before sending them for approval.

In emergency situations, you act as emergency coordinator until the manager is on call.

You perform routine checks in addition to operator rounds and report defects in SAP and initiate improvement proposals.

You supervise, train and evaluate trainee operators.

You supervise and ensure safety during maintenance and project activities, including managing work permits and safety management systems.

You will be regularly communicating and supporting other disciplines, including projects and engineering teams.

Independence: You are able to work independently and have a strong sense of responsibility.

Education: Technical MBO 4 or HBO working and thinking level.

Experience: 8-10 years' work experience in an industrial environment.

Language skills: Good command of Dutch and English, both oral and written.

Knowledge: Experience with company-specific software, MS Office and SAP. Specific safety and technical training through the LSO programme.
