Your Role:

           

As an Operation Technician at the EMD Electronic Facility in Carlsbad, CA in the Packaging Department you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineers, chemists, and maintenance technicians, to troubleshoot equipment issues and optimize production processes. Also monitor and control production processes to ensure efficient and safe operations, troubleshooting any issues that arise. A Operation Technician will follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.  Hours of Operation is 2nd Shift Monday -Friday 12pm -8:30pm PST. Specific Responsibilities Include:

 

Maintain chemical processing equipment and machinery including (pumps, Lin dewers, vacuums, torque wrenches, pallet jack) Effectively document and record production data, including batch records, operating parameters, and test resultsAssist in the development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce wastePerform routine maintenance tasks on equipment, including cleaning, calibration, and minor repairsKnowledge of chemical processing principles, equipment, and proceduresExcellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and protocolsProficient in analyzing and interpreting data, including conducting basic statistical analysisCommunicate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate production issues and updatesEffectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet production targets and deadlinesMeet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards

 

Physical Attributes:

 

Wear all PPE (gloves, apron, lab coat, safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, and respiratory)Stand, kneel, walk, and move during full shiftLifting up to 50lbs

 

Who You Are:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

High School Diploma or GED

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Experience as a Chemical Process Technician or in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentKnowledge of safety protocols and procedures.Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets and written work instructions.Experience using SAP and Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Access, and SharePointAbility to use hand and power toolsAbility to succeed in a team environment and independentlyStrong sense of professionalism and work ethicGood organizational and housekeeping skills

 

Pay Range for this position - $49,500 - $148,900
