Are you ready to make your mark?  If you’re a training professional, we have an exciting opportunity for you.  The Operations Training Manager owns the overall Operations training strategy for a specific site or group of sites.  They are responsible for partnering with local leaders to drive a consistent approach, metrics and monitoring of Operations training across all production areas. Additionally, they manage the Operations Foundational Onboarding program and Offline Skills Training content (including the coordination of the trainees, instructors, physical training spaces and some/all of the training delivery.

This member works with the Global Operations Training Manager and the Operations Training team across sites to ensure consistent implementation of training curriculum to promote standardization across Woodward sites when practical. Responsible for the creation and deployment of new curriculum to support local and global needs.

What You Will Be Doing 

Manages the Operations Foundational Onboarding Program for the site.Manages offline skills training content, equipment and delivery for the site.Serves as a key local leader to drive consistent training assessment, training design and impactful training delivery across the production organization.Leads standard content management (content updates, content communication and content retention) for local production training programs.Provides guidance and recommendations to the management team for what is an appropriate level and type of training for production members.Works with local leaders to ensure cross-training strategies are being actively worked and maintained.Participates in and/or conducts audits of Operations Training activities and programs.Supervises members assigned to the Training Development Team as applicable.

What We Are Looking For 

Bachelor’s degree required.2-5 years of superior project management experience and skills with the ability to lead direct and/or matrixed teams to achieve results required.2-5 years of training curriculum development or instructional design experience in a technical or manufacturing environment preferred.Ability to demonstrate excellent understanding of Woodward operations and manufacturing processes.Ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills throughout all levels of the organization; experience with presenting.Ability to demonstrate proficiency in use of MS Office, Seertech, and Learning Management Systems.Demonstrated strong relationship skills, including collaborating and building trusted relationships with members at all levels.
