Job Overview The incumbent operates equipment in the Pavements/Equipment Shop. Work Model: Onsite Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions: Operates equipment used to excavate, load, or move dirt, gravel, or other materials. Operates sweeper equipment. Learns and follows safety regulations. Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects. Locates underground services, such as pipes or wires, prior to beginning work. Monitors operations to ensure that health and safety standards are met. Adjusts handwheels and depress pedals to control attachments, such as blades, buckets, scrapers, or swing booms. May read and interpret grade and slope stakes. May grease, adjust and make emergency repairs to equipment. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Mandatory: Flightline Driver’s License. Flightline Certified. Must have valid State Class A CDL. Six (6) months airfield runway and flight line operations and procedures experience to include radio control and ground communications. Valid state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position. Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract. U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS). Ability to obtain Government credentials that may be required.
