Operator, Production Operation (Hourly), 2nd Shift

The primary role of Production & Assembly function is to manufacture, assemble and pack products. Key deliverables include, managing the day-to-day production & planning functions for manufacturing whilst supporting changing demands. Programming, set-up, and monitoring of the production equipment/processes and performing assembly operations. Performing Quality control checks of Incoming and finished goods. Ensuring compliance to ResMed’s Quality, OH&S, GMP policies and regulatory requirements. 

Let’s talk about Responsibilities:

Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Perform assembly and packaging of mechanical assemblies utilizing proper tools and other equipment in accordance with assembly procedures and bills of material.Ensures material is supplied and removed from the line as needed to prevent any line interruption or delays.Open boxes, crates and other containers.Remove material waste from production area.Transfer material to and from production lines.Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.Mark material with identifying information.Maintain stock accuracy in the production and raw material areas.Maintain cleanliness, orderliness and proper identification of stock in production area.Communicate effectively with supervisor and other team members.Adhere to company rules and regulations to include safety practices and procedures.Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-2+ years related experience in a manufacturing environment. Medical Device manufacturing experience is a plus.Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional judgment.Ability to read and understand procedures, work instructions, material lists and bills of material.Ability to use common hand tools.Ability to perform basic computer operations.Ability to function in a team environment.Ability to recognize basic component nonconformance.Mechanical aptitude.Hand-eye coordination.Ability to distinguish color.Utilizes hand truck or other handling equipment to move material.

Job Environment:

Warehouse & production environment. Incumbent will walk and may occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift up to 40lbs. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Must be flexible to work varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.

 

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is:

$17.77 – $26.65 USD Hourly with 0.50/Hour Shift Differential
