Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operator 1 to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate processing and packaging equipment, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. ResponsibilitiesOperate processing and packaging equipment, including balances, labelers, band sealers, pumps, filtration systems, and other packaging equipment.Weigh, measure, and check raw materials with the assistance of a computer interface to ensure batches contain proper materials and quantities.Calibrate and operate semi-automated and automated manufacturing equipment.Perform in-process sampling and testing to ensure batches meet specifications.Follow all safe practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Complete and maintain Quality Records in compliance with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and standard operating procedures.Maintain equipment and rooms in proper operating condition and cleanliness.Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery, performing simple maintenance and necessary adjustments.Follow all written procedures and report discrepancies in procedures, SOPs, and Preventative Maintenance Records (PMRs) to the Area Supervisor.Accurately document and check personal work for quality and compliance.Continuously monitor products for defects and suggest improvements to the production process.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma from an accredited institution required; Associate degree or higher preferred.No previous experience necessary, but laboratory exposure is a plus.Some experience in logistics with a life science company preferred.Working knowledge of business computer software with logistics-related databases desired.Good computational skills.Good multi-tasking and time management skills.Ability to work under time constraints and with changing priorities.Ability to speak, read, and write in English, including technical and scientific language.Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious work experience in manufacturing operations, production, or a lab setting or related field preferred.Experience in a cGMP environment preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a dynamic manufacturing environment where you will stand for long periods, up to 10 hours a day. You should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive movements, including pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, bending, grasping, and crouching. Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.

This is a Contract position based out of Middletown, Virginia.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.45 - $21.45/hr.
