Operator (2nd Shift) **Grainwell Puffed Grains** 1 Positions ID: 52786 Posted On 09/12/2024 **Job Overview** **Job description** This position is responsible for starting and stopping processing equipment, monitoring and adjusting equipment parameters, and performing sanitation tasks to ensure manufactured products are meeting customer specifications and internal criteria. **Main Responsibilities:** ● Operate and monitor a continuous production line, from start to finish, adjusting as needed to ensure production flow is maintained. ● Ensuring products meet customer standards by observing and documenting product specifications. ● Accurately fill out paperwork on the production floor ● Perform activities associated with the production and packaging of milled and puffed products. ● Visually observes detail of finished products and inspects products for quality deviations. ● Identify process issues or concerns. Provide basic recommendations for resolution. ● Responsible for ensuring that the workstation and floor are clean and free of unwanted materials throughout the shift. ● Assist in the monitoring and compliance with food safety program by bringing all quality and safety concerns to management staff attention. ● Perform regular cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment, work surfaces, and surrounding areas according to established procedures. ● Perform general housekeeping activities and other duties as assigned. ● Adhere to (Good Manufacturing Procedures) GMP s and Health and Safety rules as always outlined in quality and food safety procedures. ● Operate forklift to move product and materials throughout the production facility. ● Operate raw seed hoist, by loading raw grain. ● Operate multi-stage processing equipment via computer software (training will be provided) **Qualifications:** ● Possess acceptable reading and writing skills to effectively communicate and process written instructions. ● Possess basic mathematical skills with the ability to inspect, validate and confirm all counts and calculations within processing instructions and batch. ● High School Diploma or GED ● Able to operate in a fast-paced environment. ● Possess a working knowledge of production schedule in order to determine product changes. ● Possess standard knowledge of machinery. ● Possess an understanding of lot coding in order to maintain traceability. **Working Conditions:** ● Shift based working hours. ● Indoor working conditions. ● May be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as production equipment. ● May involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and allergens. **Physical Requirements:** ● Able to stand and walk throughout the scheduled work shift. ● Able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. ● Able to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, reaching, and twisting.
