We are currently looking for a Site Operator at our South Taylor TRD located 12km south of Taylor, BC. This is a shift role, working 7 days on, 7 days off alternating between days and nights and having hours of 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am. The successful candidate for this role must provide their own transportation to and from the site. This is not a camp role, so the successful candidate must live in the Taylor/Fort St. John area.
Job Purpose
The Operator position is responsible for the day-to-day safe and customer service oriented operations of waste treatment, oil treatment and water injection. The Operator will be in constant contact with customers and therefore, must demonstrate excellent communications skills and a high level of customer service. As this is a safety-sensitive role and due to the nature of working conditions, the Operator is required to be mentally and physically fit to successfully perform the tasks and responsibilities of this role.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Plant safety (i.e. ensuring that each operation is following Standard Operating Procedures and safety work procedures, SWP permitting, Hazard Assessments and Intlex items are entered in a timely manner)Responsible for truck unloading, oil emulsion, water & vac trucks (paper trail)Responsible for oil treating with the treater, cooler or tank treatingResponsible for proper equipment operation and preventative maintenanceParticipating in waste processing, waste and mud tank operation, shaker & centrifuge operations and solids treatingManaging ongoing water injection, filter changing and pump maintenanceConducting boiler operations, testing and steam system operationsConducting daily, weekly and monthly plant checksPerforming general cleaning duties throughout the dayQualifications/Competencies
The individual in this role will have:
A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalentA valid and acceptable Driver’s license and successful completion of pre-employment testing (drug & alcohol)Special training in boiler, treater, shaker/centrifuge, pumps (all) and loader will be consideredYellow iron training (loader, rock truck, skid steer, tractor)Valid and current safety ticketsA strong attention to detail, communication skills and a profound ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding work environmentA proven ability to work well under a frequent amount of supervisionMust demonstrate excellent customer service skills
