**Job Description**
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing work in our plant, moving metal parts through various processes to prepare them for delivery to the end customer. This multi-faceted role will involve loading and setting up machines using process manuals, unloading machines, checking quality, cleaning work areas, and moving material around the facility. You may also be required to unload trucks and operate a forklift occasionally. There will be daily interaction with the lead, discussing and understanding the day's orders and tasks. You will also be responsible for visually and physically inspecting parts to ensure top quality before packing them for customer delivery.
**Responsibilities**

+ Clean work areas regularly.
+ Move materials around the facility as needed.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Mechanical Aptitude (working on car trans/engine, etc.) or experience in a production environment that follows manual processes, not heavy automation.
+ Ability to lift 50lbs at times during shift.
+ Steel Toed Shoes.
+ No diploma required.
+ Machine operating experience.
+ Manual machine experience.

+ 1st shift: Mon-Thu // 6am-4pm

**Work Environment**
This is a fully on-site position in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role is based in a small, organized, and clean manufacturing floor with a family-like atmosphere. The shift runs from 7 am to 3:30 pm, but flexibility is required as overtime may be needed, extending working hours to 10-12 hours per day. The environment can get dusty from the machining process, but regular cleaning keeps it manageable. The temperature can reach 80-85F on hot days. The site doesn't have AC. Personal protective equipment required includes steel toes, safety glasses, hearing protection in some areas, and gloves. Casual attire such as jeans and a t-shirt or sweatshirt is acceptable for this role.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of the Park 100 area in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00
