Description:
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Our Operator position is a key position transporting materials throughout the sand and gravel site into piles, depending upon production/shipping requirements; general plant maintenance; operating dryer and bag plant.
**WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH**
+ Depending upon site operational requirements, operating mobile equipment to include, but not limited to front end loaders and skid steer loaders.
+ Inspect all operating equipment each shift, complete inspection sheets and report problems.
+ Correct malfunctions or irregularities of operating equipment and safety hazards or report to plant supervisor if corrections cannot be made.
+ Do any cleanup that is necessary to have a better and safer working environment.
+ Taking accurate and reliable counts of material additions as required.
+ Operates bag plant and dryer plant as required.
+ Performance general maintenance to plant and equipment to include greasing bearings; replacing guards; changing drive belts and gear boxes; replacing rollers and bearings; changing conveyor belts; replacing skirting; changing wear liners/hammers; welding, fabrication and oil changes.
+ Walk the site, observing dryer plant and conveyors for proper function.
+ Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
+ Ability to learn stockpile and plant flow
+ Mechanical aptitude as necessary to sustain plant operations; experience greasing bearings, change gear boxes and replacing bearing, welding and fabricating preferred.
+ Experienced with operating/maintaining and troubleshooting heavy equipment
+ Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions
+ Self-motivated with a solid work ethic
**Additional Requirements:**
+ Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
+ This job requires shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekend and holiday work. Employee may have work schedules adjusted on short notice.
+ Must become a member of OE 513.
