This position works out of our Plymouth location in the Structural Heart (SH) division. Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.
Work Shift
3:30 pm – 2:00 am, Monday – Thursday, with potential overtime
What You’ll Work On
Performs Casting/Coating functions:Examines medical devices and related assemblies after molding operations to locate bubbles, nicks and/or excess epoxyUtilizes small drills, reamers, taps and knives to access bubbles and remove excess epoxyPatches and repairs bubbles or voids using syringes and small tools; bakes parts to cure epoxy patchesPerforms Mechanical Assembly functions:Kits, assembles, bonds, coats and processes medical devices and related parts using microscopes and applicable toolsLocates and corrects problems by examining devices and components and visually inspecting parts/assembliesRepairs and corrects devices and related components using microscopes and applicable toolsPerforms Packaging FunctionsKits, assembles and packages devices and related accessories using applicable toolsLocates and corrects problems using microscope and applicable toolsReviews all device documentation for completeness and accuracyMay set-up/utilize special test equipmentRequired Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalentTypically two plus years of relevant training/experience in medical device assemblyThe ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is also required; this requirement includes clear, understandable speech and demonstrated comprehension skillsMust have the ability to on occasion lift up to approximately 25 poundsThe ability to work overtime is requiredPrevious microscope experience is highly desiredLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives: www.abbottbenefits.com

The base pay for this position is $14.95 – $29.95 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
