Position Summary

The Operator/Information Desk is responsible for operating the main campus telephone system, paging, monitoring alarms, oxygen levels and fire alarms, and alerting personnel of impending disasters, fires and codes. This is a position working under limited supervision. Work situations are basically routine and require strong communication skills, and a service oriented individual. Internal contacts are general in nature and include staff and management throughout the organization. External contacts include the public, patients, families, visitors, and physicians.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent required Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience Minimum one (1) year of relevant MHS customer service experience may substitute for experience requirement (volunteer work included); Examples include, but are not limited to--interaction with patients, families, providers; high volume work environments; multitasking Previous PBX experience preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $19.35 - $29.43 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
