Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Scribe to join our team. In this role, you will document physician visits in the EMR system, scribe for multiple physicians, assist with instruments when requested by the physician, conduct patient work-ups after doctor visits, and communicate with patients about procedures and treatments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ BS/AS in a life science
+ 1+ years of on-site scribing experience (remote scribing experience will not be considered)
+ Ophthalmic experience preferred

Work Environment
The work environment is extremely fast-paced, with the team seeing 80-100 patients a day. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, scheduled based on clinic needs. Training will be held at the admin building in the Galleria for the first week. You will work on a team of 8-24 individuals, with each physician requiring 8 clinic staff. The home clinic is one of the busiest in Houston, seeing 100+ patients a day. Schedules are provided two weeks in advance. Occasionally, you may be asked to attend a different clinic for training, with mileage reimbursed if traveling outside the usual three clinics. The dress code is navy blue scrubs, short and groomed nails, and hair must be tied back
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00
