Why You'll Love This Role:Cutting-Edge Technology: Work with the latest ophthalmic equipment and technology.Collaborative Environment: Be part of a supportive team of 22 technicians, MAs, and receptionists.High Patient Volume: Thrive in a busy facility that handles 200-250 patients daily.Your Responsibilities:Specialized Testing: Perform advanced testing procedures tailored to our specialty.Preliminary Screenings: Conduct initial examinations to assist physicians in patient care.Patient Preparation: Review charts, plan testing methods, and position patients for optimal results.Equipment Management: Set up, operate, and maintain ophthalmic equipment, ensuring top performance.Patient Assistance: Help patients with transfers to/from wheelchairs, stretchers, and exam tables.Quality Control: Maintain equipment quality checks and log service records meticulously.Inventory Management: Order and manage supplies, ensuring everything is well-stocked and up-to-date.Liaison Role: Report equipment issues and coordinate with repair personnel.Additional Clinical Functions: Support various clinical activities as needed.Essential Skills & Qualifications:Experience: 3+ years in optometry, ophthalmology, or glaucoma.Certification: Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COA, COT, COMT) preferred.Technical Skills: Proficiency with Epic and manual refractions.Education: High school diploma or equivalent.Work Environment:Busy & Fast-Paced: Join a large, bustling facility with a dedicated team.Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with a one-hour lunch break.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00
