Responsibilities

The Mayo Clinic Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a board eligible/board certified Ophthalmologist to join our practice with the Mayo Clinic Health System. This is a general ophthalmology practice with opportunities to manage patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions including: cataract surgeries and/or other anterior segment, ocular plastics procedures, and adult strabismus surgeries. Surgical variety is dependent on the candidate’s training and comfort with given surgical techniques.

Position Overview:
•   Community based outpatient practice
•   Work collaboratively with optometrists and primary care physicians 
•   Strong referral base

Position Details:
•   Clinic hours are 8am-5pm; Surgical block hours are 7:30am-3:30pm
•   State of the art equipment including: Topcon Fundus camera, ILO Master 700, Heidelberg and Cirrus OCT, Humphry Visual Field 
•   OR equipment: Centurion phaco machine 
•   Clinical volume of approximately 30 patients per day
