The Paper Mill Machine Leader will be based out of Macon, Georgia (1897 Allen Road, 31216). The Paper Mill Machine Leader will be the machine and system expert on Papermill and Pulp Prep to the Reel. This is a permanent, full-time position.

The Machine Leader will have the ultimate accountability over running the paper machine and developing the daily plan and giving his or her team members direction The Machine Leader will direct other team members and lead them to standard, and push the optimization of the operation Must be able to work with Operations Leader and other Machine Leaders to prioritize work and assign appropriate resources based on workload and schedule Must be able to work with your downstream customers to optimize waste and paper quality Run paper machine at target line speed to exceed daily budget Centerline checks are to be completed every shift and logged into the data collection system Daily rounds will be completed and all out of standard findings will be logged and brought back to standard if possible Work with maintenance on equipment issues and optimization efforts Work with E&I on equipment issues and optimization efforts Work with Operations Leader on training plan with identified operators on skill development Coach and train new employees on the line Lead in all brand changes Be able to run line to achieve established production and quality standards with a minimum of waste and delay Must be self-motivated and a team player; must demonstrate a positive can do attitude and the ability to work with others in a professional manner Must be able to communicate and interface with management in order to provide feedback, information, and status updates Will and able to learn new systems/equipment and take on new challenges Willing and able to train others and share knowledge Willing to take part in improvement events
