The CJC Department of Distance Education is seeking a part-time administrative assistant to support team members with various tasks (see below). The ideal candidate will be articulate, detail-oriented, and comfortable making outbound calls to prospective students who have requested information about our programs. This role requires the ability to learn about the college’s offerings, answer questions, and provide referrals to other university departments as needed. Strong organizational skills are essential for tracking calls and other related administrative activities. Additionally, the candidate must be able to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues. Sample responsibilities: + Admissions - outbound calls to prospective applicants + Manage incoming calls on our main phone line + Prepare and mail admissions decisions letters + Prepare travel booking and expense reconciliation + Build and deliver key metrics reports + Assist with admissions and enrollment activities as requested + Track and distribute promotional products for events + Coordinate catering and/or venues as needed for events + Complete tasks to assist department directors as requested + Other duties as assigned Expected Salary: $22 per hour Minimum Requirements: + Bachelor’s degree + Minimum 3-5 years of administrative experience + Experience working in an office/professional setting + Ability to manage multiple projects with various deadlines + Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel + Ability to find and analyze data Preferred Qualifications: + Experience working with Salesforce + Advanced MS Excel skills Special Instructions to Applicants: Please submit the following materials with your application.
