Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Ops Administrative Assistant (Part-Tine) to join the Wiremold Team in West Hartford, CT. 

 

This is an hourly part-time position + 6% bonus of annual salary, working 20 - 25 hours a week, onsite Monday through Friday, reporting in at 7AM EST.  

 

 

What Will You Do?

Works with Plant Manager to create, update and improve existing reports and processes to drive operational and organizational effectiveness.Working closely with Operations and HR staff, provides administrative assistance on projects. Handling a wide variety of tasks in support of the benefits, compensation, staffing, training, and administrative services functions.Support HR to ensure processes are compliant. Attending employee needs related to Benefits and other employee related issues. Working individually or with a team, assists with planning and carrying out company sponsored meetings, events or activities.Support compliance activities and processes to maintain plant ISO certifications (9001,14001 & 18000).Support Plant-wide improvement in communication and good business practices to include updating employee bulletin boards and balanced scorecard. Working Individually, or as part of a team, takes responsibility for planning and carrying out special events or activities. (e.g.Kaizens, Training Sessions) Preparation of special events that may include developing the schedule, obtaining the facility, handling all arrangements and details including agenda/presentations, support from outside suppliers.  Perform other duties as requested by Management and Team. Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

 

Experience:

Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience in an office/work environment.Be able to work independently as well as within a variety of teams. Strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities. Experience with Microsoft Suite tools, PowerPoint and Advanced Excel preferred.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.Be able to create effective reports and business correspondence.Requires strong organizational and time management skills and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.  Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize, and accomplish a diversified workload.Basic computer skills, Advanced Excel preferred, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and email software.Ability to use internet and web-based resources efficiently and effectively.Willingness to work outside comfort zone in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment.  Must foster open communication and support an environment of innovation and creative change.  Be safety conscious and ensure established safety and HR procedures are followed.  Company Info
