This position works under the direct/indirect supervision of a physician and underwritten protocols if required. All of the following duties require accuracy, safety, positive customer and team interactions, and adherence to protocol, polices, and procedures at all times. This position reports directly to the DOH-Duval Medical Executive Director. This is done with cultural competence and in consultation with a physician if required by job title and as needed. + Performs and/or orders labs, diagnostic procedures, and makes appropriate referrals as necessary. + Analyzes data and uses problem solving skills while working within a team environment. + Maintains patients’ records and ensures timely entry of each encounter in the electronic health record. + Provides guidance regarding appropriate community resources. + Provides HIV and STD services to males and females as indicated. + Provides family planning services as indicated. + Provides primary and specialty care services to patients who seek care at the Comprehensive Care Center. + Provides Pre-Exposure and Post-Exposure Prophylaxis. + Provides Test and Treat services. + Provides comprehensive health assessment of client’s physical, psychosocial, and environmental status in order to develop, implement, monitor, and modify a plan of care. Qualifications: Minimum: + Active and in good standing license as a Physician Assistant (PA), Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), or Doctor of Medicine (MD)/ Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). Preferred: + Candidate has at least six months of providing care to patients with communicable diseases such as HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. + Preference will be given to a clinician that currently holds, or is eligible for, a Florida medical license (Chapters 458 or 459, Florida Statutes). A Physician candidate is a clinician that currently holds, or is eligible for, a Florida medical license (Chapters 458 or 459, Florida Statutes) and at least six months of experience caring for patients with communicable diseases, specifically HIV and STIs. The salary range for a Physician candidate is $149,400 to $169,320 annually. A non-physician candidate is a clinician that currently holds, or is eligible for, a Florida medical license (Chapters 458 or 459, Florida Statutes) as a physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse and at least six months of experience caring for patients with communicable diseases, specifically HIV and STIs. The salary range for a non-physician candidate is $109,560 to $129,480 annually.
