This is an exciting opportunity to be directly involved in cutting-edge research, working on two funded studies in Friedreich’s Ataxia and Parkinson’s Disease. You will assist with data entry, recruitment, and participant retention for a phase 2 industry-sponsored drug trial and a Michael J. Fox Foundation-funded clinical trial. About This Role: + Accurately enter clinical data into sponsor-related platforms according to ALCOA guidelines, with a focus on meeting a 72-hour turnaround for natural history protocols. Ensure data quality through ongoing review and quality assurance checks. + Collaborate with coordinators and principal investigators to identify and recruit research participants Screen potential participants weekly, develop recruitment strategies, and communicate with eligible candidates in a timely manner. + Collect and process biospecimens, including blood draws for ALS trials requiring hourly PK sampling. Ensure all samples are handled and shipped following IATA standards and specific protocol requirements. Training will be provided - no previous experience necessary. + Assist with the collection of vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, height) and, as needed by protocol, perform ECGs during participant screenings and research visits. Training will be provided - no previous experience necessary. + Attend research study meetings as a representative of the Neuromuscular Division. Update the research team and principal investigators on enrollment progress and adherence to study goals.
