This position serves as the Facilities Custodian and works under the general supervision of Edgar Martinez, position #64082506, and provides Custodial Duties. This position is responsible for cleaning and upkeep of the facilities. The incumbent an employee of the Florida Department of Health in Clay County works to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county, and community efforts. The incumbent is expected to promote innovation by searching for creative solutions and managing resources wisely. Perform janitorial duties including: + Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, carpet cleaning, striping and waxing floors. + Dusting, cleaning, and polishing offices, waiting room furniture and fixtures. + Emptying and cleaning waste receptacles. + Maintaining restroom facilities in a clean and sanitary condition. + Cleaning and sanitizing exam rooms. + Washing windows and doors. + Maintain up to date MSDS sheets on all cleaning supplies and ensure proper usage, and safety precautions are + Used and remain informed of dangers listed on each cleaning supply. + Maintain building security; ensure facilities are secured at the end of each day. + Perform minor repairs to equipment. + Re-arrange furniture and equipment as requested; maintain outside premises, including sweeping walks, picking up litter, blowing side walks, soft washing, cleaning windows etc. + Incumbent is required to maintain a valid driver state license to use county vehicle to courier satellite clinics as directed by the Facilities Manager. And responsible for ensuring maintenance of county vehicles, fueling county vehicles as required. + Responsible for securing the designated information sets for the purpose of protecting confidentiality, data integrity, and appropriate access, for all information, both confidential and public record, which is stored in hard copy or electronic format. + Time sheet and EAR entry within the required time frame + Subject to emergency duty in the event of a natural disaster + Completion of all mandatory or assigned trainings within the required time frame + Perform other related duties as required. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Able to perform basic cleaning skills and lift up to 50Lbs. by themselves or 100Lbs with assistance. + Basic computer skills. + Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. + Customer service skills. + Knowledge of State of Florida Personnel Rules and applicable Florida Statutes. + Skilled at time management Qualifications: Minimum – + Must have a valid state driver license. + Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. + Must be able to read and understand labels and operating instructions on equipment and chemical containers. + Must be willing to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Preferred – + Janitorial experience. + Familiar with using cleaning chemicals and equipment. + Experience using a computer. + Experience with washing and cleaning vehicles. + Familiar with material safety data sheets, MSDS. + Experience using small power tools. + One or more years’ experience with confidential and sensitive materials?
