Job Description: Manages the SCCR central communication inbox, responding to and logging communication when appropriate and delegating communication to assigned conduct staff members. May also serve as delegate communication manager for Asst Dean/Director and Associate Director to increase efficiency of response and delegation to assigned SCCR hearing officers in high volume periods. Serves as point of contact for assisting referred students, faculty, staff, and guests from the Dean of Students Office front desk, responding appropriately to incoming phone calls, messages, and emails, providing accurate process information and referrals, and maintaining a positive and welcoming office environment. Record logs of calls, communications, and in-person assistance in the SCCR database to maintain complete and compliant records. Serves as first point of contact for scheduling of meetings, presentations, and consultations with Assistant Dean/Director and Associate Director. Facilitates the assignment of appeal requests to the appropriate appeal authority within the Dean of Students Office and assists with sending of communication as needed. Assists with coordination of scheduling of student meetings for complex or multi-party investigations in collaboration with campus partners. Creates documentation of business processes, operating procedures, and trainings. Responsible for creation and maintenance of departmental calendar of events, deadline dates, and staff training completion and renewal due dates/records. Assists with coaching student assistants to provide high quality service through the SCCR phone line, email, and website. Works with Dean of Students Office staff to regularly update front desk and other operations manuals; Maintains proficient knowledge regarding protocols for operations, safety, and security. Cross-trains to assist with Dean’s Certifications, hold inquiries, and sanction submissions; Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean/Director or Associate Director according to the needs of SCCR and the Dean of Students Office. Expected Salary:$17-$19/hour
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated success in an administrative role Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of:
