Ops Supervisor ES

POSITION SUMMARY: The Operations Support Supervisor is responsible for supporting multiple lines of business in a geographically dispersed area by partnering with local managers to implement tactical initiatives to drive functional excellence and budget achievement. The Operations Support Supervisor provides direction and support to the field scale house, dispatch and field billing staff to ensure execution and durability of standards, processes and practices surrounding TRUX and other billing related systems and functions.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides expertise, analysis, input, information and actions to improve operations performance (not day-to-day supervision) and is focused on operations activities and processes for all billing related operations.Deploys Area-wide standard processes, tools, and technologies throughout the Area via communication, facilitation, training and other methods.Listens, evaluates, and counsels Supervisors, Operations Managers, and General Managers in setting priorities and goals in order to optimize their operations.Assists with the development and education of operations talent, in particular scale house staff, dispatch staff and field billing staff (works with management to hire, train, and mentor).Provide follow-up and support and on-going training for field staff.Collaborates with local site leadership and Area office staff to identify issues, lead root cause analysis and develop remedial action plans. Provides targeted expertise to lead on-site activities to address cultural, process or operational challenges.Collaborates on, aids establishment of and supports compliance with Company standards and operating procedures and processes.Assist TRUX Administrator in setting up Weigh-It or Haul-It in new or existing divisions. This includes setting up price classes, adding activities, vehicles, and routes.This position may require travel by air, car and/or other modes of transportation up to 70% of the time.Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree with focus in Business, Management or related field.Experience with TRUX.Prior experience in a lead role with responsibility for the implementation and successful performance of business plans, strategic projects or initiatives, including the development and adherence to project plans and budgets.Ability to function well in arena with potentially rapidly changing priorities.Ability to professionally interact with employees at all levels and influence others to gain support for ideas, proposals, projects and solutions as well as effectively accomplish goals.Ability to build and foster collaborative relationships by developing, maintaining and strengthening partnerships with others inside or outside the organization who can provide information, assistance and support.Must be able to perform effectively with a heavy travel schedule.Ability to anticipate the implications and consequences of situations and take appropriate action to be prepared for possible contingencies.Ability to advise and coach frontline and site managers.Ability to initiate and effectively manage projects, including the ability to facilitate obstacle removal and progress toward goals.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High school diplomaMinimum of 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.Minimum of 3 years of experience in the waste or oilfield service industry that included scale house, dispatch and/or billing experience.

SUSTAINABILITY INNOVATION

Republic’s recent innovations to advance circularity and decarbonization demonstrate our unique ability to leverage sustainability as a platform for growth.

The Republic Services Polymer Center is the nation’s first integrated plastics recycling facility. This innovative site processes rigid plastics from our recycling centers, producing recycled materials that promote true bottle-to-bottle circularity. We also formed Blue Polymers, a joint venture with Ravago, to develop facilities that will further process plastic material from our Polymer Centers to help meet the growing demand for sustainable packaging. We are building a network of Polymer Centers and Blue Polymer facilities across North America.

We continue to advance decarbonization at our landfills. As demand for renewable energy continues to grow, we have 70 landfill gas-to-energy projects in operation and plan to expand our portfolio to 115 projects by 2028.
