Amentum is seeking an OPSEC SME in Tampa, FL. You will support research, analysis, training, and other preparation necessary to conduct OPSEC surveys and assessments across the SOCOM Enterprise.
Tasks include\:

Coordinate with government personnel concerning open source research and analysis of identified and potential adversarial threats to USSOCOM operations, exercises, acquisition programs, and other sensitive activities. Advise USSOCOM leadership on OPSEC and support J34’s execution of the commander’s OPSEC program Provide OPSEC planning, surveys, education, training, and awareness Assist in the performance of OPSEC assessments of Component, TSOC, and Sub-Unified Command programs Conduct OPSEC review of all USSOCOM publications, FOIA releases, and website content Provide OPSEC assessments for HQ USSOCOM special events such as Senior Leader Seminars, Wargame Center events, SOF Week/Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC), Change of Command Ceremonies, and Distinguished Visitor events Coordinate and assist the Components and TSOC’s in the development and implementation of their OPSEC program

* Bachelor’s degree OR an Associate’s Degree and Six (6) yrs. of OPSEC experience Five (5) years’ experience with OPSEC planning and procedures including accurately assessing an OPSEC program, implementing corrective actions and presenting risk and analysis findings to senior military and DoD civilians Certified OPSEC trainer with capability to develop, conduct, and maintain training programs, conduct classroom instruction for senior military and DoD civilian members, and ability to leverage eLearning portals and other tools for continuing education Minimum of five (5) years’ staff officer experience preparing written products for senior leader (general officer/flag officer/senior executive service level) use at a 4-Star military HQ Three (3) years’ experience working with USSOCOM, subordinate organizations, DOD, and knowledge of each military U.S. military service’s roles and missions

Current DoD Top Secret clearance and eligible for SCI access required

Essential Functions

 

Physical Requirements

Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk (40-90%). Requires sitting at a computer terminal for long periods of time (40%-90%). Additionally, this position requires significant walking around on sites across Anniston Army Depot and climbing on military vehicles when needed for visual inspections.


Work Environment
Inside office/cubicle environment. Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers and all levels of management (100%). Position is partial telework. Primarily on site AND a periodically teleworking from home, at the discretion of Amentum and Government leadership.


Equipment and Machines
Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, copier, and other general office equipment (100%). Ability to conduct evaluation of third and fourth generation or current state of the art computer hardware and software and its ability to support specific requirements, interfacing with other equipment and systems.

Attendance
Attendance is critical. Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Being prompt is important to provide continuous and on-going service to customers. Attendance is important to maintain continuity of service. Work outside of normal duty hours may be required with as little as one hour advance notice. Overtime is infrequent, but important when required (1%).

Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be able to obtain unescorted access to work areas. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
