Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an Optics Fabrication Technician to join their team. As an Optics Fabrication Technician, you will be part of the production department supporting various projects. The ideal candidate will have critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong sense of teamwork, which will align successfully within the organization.
**Job Title:** Optics Fabrication Technician
**Location:** Boulder, CO
**Pay Range:** 22.00
**Shifts:** M-Th 2nd 3:30p-2a
Sun-Wed – 6a-430p
Wed-Sun – 6a-430p
**What's the Job?**
+ Fabricate optical components according to customer specifications.
+ Perform various optical fabrication processes including beveling, milling, blocking, grinding, polishing, curve generation, and inspection/measurements.
+ Establish Baume and PH levels and execute advanced blocking and polishing techniques.
+ Identify process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency.
+ Train lower-level technicians and provide guidance across departments.
**What's Needed?**
+ High School Diploma or GED required; preferred candidates may have additional qualifications.
+ 5+ years of optics experience preferred.
+ Ability to work effectively within a team and across departments.
+ Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
+ Willingness to take on a lead role for specific department projects.
