We are Cisco’s optics engineering product development team, developing world-class, leading-edge, silicon-photonics based optical transceiver products. You will be part of a growing team primarily involved in the characterization, validation, and reliability of current and next generation transceivers implemented in industry standard modules and custom integrated/on-board optics. Your Impact Develop, schedule/coordinate, and execute product-level / optical transceiver module reliability test plans for optical transceiver modules, chip/chipsets, optical subcomponents including environmental stress, mechanical integrity, and regulatory testing.Collaborate with production/operations teams to develop test plans to support 2nd source material qualifications, PCN qualifications, Factory qualifications, Process qualifications, and ORT (Ongoing Reliability Test).Oversee reliability lab - operating, ensure safety compliance, schedule jobs with other teams, allocate chambers.Qualify and coordinate testing with outside test services.Perform data analysis, write detailed reports, develop tools for automating these tasks.Involvement and coordination of debug, failure analysis activities.Represent Common Optics Group (COG) organization in front of customer to present approach, plans, review reports, address issues/questions, etc.Collaborate on development/design of tests, test methods, hardware, test setups, test automation for reliability qualification testing purposes.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Physics, or Material Science or related degree and 8+ years of experience in the development and validation of high-speed optical transceiver modules (or optics) and components.Experience in device physics and circuit operations.Experience with optical integration and packaging technologies.Experience with data processing and statistical analysis.Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Physics, or Material Science or related degree and 6+ years of experience in the development and validation of high-speed optical transceiver modules (or optics) and components.Experience with silicon photonics.Experience with test / characterization automation development. Experience with post-silicon validation / DVT including in high-speed test, SERDES, PLL, CDR, TX/RX analog front-end characterization, optical circuits (Drivers, modulators, TIAs, PDs, Lasers, GCs, Mux/Demux, FAUs).Lab and measurement experience, including with related lab instruments such as high-speed oscilloscope, analyzers, etc.Programming experience using Python.Demonstrated ability in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and debugging.Proven skills in teamwork, communication, and organization.Program management experience.#WeAreCisco
