As the Optima Solutions Site Manager, you will lead all the activities of PPG across a complex customer site and direct the site team activity. You will lead efforts to address issues, communicate internally and externally and be the main voice for your customer, and contribute to the development of annual business plans, and forecast performance and resources required meet targets. You will manage either all aspects within an extended region or for certain product segments – North America.
This position will be in Savannah, GA - Relocation will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Guide organizational optimization with a constant focus on minimizing costs associated with the delivery of required services; seek opportunities to be more efficient in all phases of activity while meeting the needs for customer support and additional services according to the account strategyAssure that Secure Launch is being used; monitor launch activity; direct and guarantee all aspects of Launch activities within the account comply with PPG WAY pillarsContribute to the development of demand planning processes, be gatekeeper for new technologies and productsWorking with the account director, be an important voice in the development of Customer strategiesProvide product problem-solving expertise; and serve as an expert resource to resolve or lead the resolution of crisis situations involving products or application issues at the customer siteDevelop and emphasize the use of Sigma Logic disciplines, DMAIC and FMEAs in the management of all technologies during the course of operations within Customer sitesConduct reviews of all metrics and drive topic-specific projects to identify and eradicate the causes of persistent problemsEnsure budget commitments are met, including use of the layoff/furlough option; ensure the deployment of training activities, champion engagement with the PPG Voice process, and develop the talent pool to cover potential gapsMake EH&S first priority for the entire organization of the account and establish the right procedures according to PPG and customer programs and policies on this areaDrive absolute adherence to all tools used in the organization, including but limited to: RMT, CSP Dashboard, Secure Launch, CAIR, FOCUS etc. and any other discipline in placeRequired travel: 25%Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required5 – 10 years' experience in a commercial or technical service role with a record of leadership, sales achievements and people managementExperience managing a large team across regional, country and functional boundariesProficiency in English is required , and bilingual ability in Korean is highly valued but not mandatoryFinancial management skillsMarket, customer awareness and product technical knowledgeDetailed knowledge of all customer coatings/specialty products application equipment and processesPPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
