Description Robert Half Management Resources is seeking an Optimization Analyst on an interim basis for one of our manufacturing clients. The Optimization Analyst will support key business processes, including Network Optimization, Sales & Operations Planning (S& OP), and Long-Term Strategic Planning (LTSP), by maintaining large datasets, improving forecast accuracy, and performing data-driven analyses to inform financial and operational strategies. This position will also provide critical support for budgeting, financial forecasting, market analysis, and capacity planning. Responsibilities • Maintain and analyze data for Network Optimization and forecasting models. • Support the development of S& OP and LTSP processes by conducting scenario analyses. • Analyze forecast variances and improve forecast accuracy. • Provide data insights for budgeting, financial forecasting, and supply-demand studies. • Collaborate across teams to ensure data integrity across systems. • Integrate optimization results into Oracle for financial forecasting. • Identify and implement process improvements for forecasting and optimization. • Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Requirements • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. • Knowledge of statistics, forecasting, and error analysis and their financial/operational impacts. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups); knowledge of Oracle EPM Cloud Planning is a plus. • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, data science, or supply chain management preferred. • 1–3 years of experience in Supply Chain, S& OP, Inventory Management, or Demand/Production Planning.
