This professional will also need to facilitate improvement services as needed in addition to managing the Optimization team. These continuous improvement services will 1) Sustain the future of B&V by strengthening our core problem solving insights and best practices. 2)Transform the culture of our workforce to implement Lean principles consistently across the company to support long term success and growth. 3) Coach and develop teams to confront local challenges where appropriate and support focused problem solving through sound daily management practices and visualization of waste inhibiting flow and value streams **The Team** As part of BV Operations, your skills will be aligned to projects that support our 3 market sectors- Governments & Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Connectivity & Commercial. The foundation of BV Operations provides the ability to move where your skills are needed and allows for a collaborative and innovative culture offering greater challenges and career development opportunities. **Key Responsibilities** This position will lead a team whos objective is to develop, plan, and execute improvement, customer satisfaction, and productivity processes which foster a culture of continuous improvement and respect for people. Teach, coach, influence, and act as an ambassador and leader in contributing to the development of a continuous improvement culture and mindset. Using appropriate process improvement methodology, coach and develop project teams to implement Lean. Ensure the schedules and budgets are maintained. Understand financial metrics/key performance indicators (KPIs) as well as related principles and application. Convert gaps in KPIs into process improvements that deliver breakthrough results. Develop and implements methods to capture and track value contribution improvement. Facilitate cross-functional team activity to drive optimal performance in people, quality, material flow, and cost. Apply Lean tools and techniques to processes; Plan, Do, Study and Adjust (PDSA). Manage company-wide idea collection system to capture and process Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs). Facilitate root cause analysis. Identify and drive to implement model Lean teams, and then extend throughout the company. Lead the development, deployment and maturity of Lean practices for their assigned areas of responsibility; Provide consultation and assistance to process owners regarding monitoring and measurement of key performance data for the company. Coach teams to manage daily improvement at the local level through establishment and development of physical and virtual huddle boards. Train and coach Lean Champions, Leaders and team members. Develop, present, teach and deploy Lean concepts. Recruit qualified nominees/candidates for Lean training and certification. Document Lean success stories and results and supports creation of project closeout documentation. Assist in building and maintaining a library of process improvement resources, templates plus best practices. Market and promote Lean principles through various media channels. Support other CI initiatives that will help in compliance to standards, implementing new systems, and designing creative solutions that will continuously improve the business. **Management Responsibilities** Supervises work of others.
