Optometrist, Ocular Disease/Neuro-Ophthalmology
The Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is seeking an optometrist to join our neuro-ophthalmology division. We are looking for an individual to serve an integral role in our division, with a number of responsibilities. This individual will triage referred patients and will interface with other specialties, including neurosurgery and neurology, performing visual function assessment when appropriate for patients referred for consultation. He or she will provide prismatic correction for diplopia. There also will be opportunities to provide comprehensive eye care. The precise balance between neuro-ophthalmology and comprehensive care will depend on need. Individual will be considered for either a tenure track position, with research and teaching opportunities and expectations, or non-tenure track appointment.
