What you'll do:  
Practicing in a fast-paced clinical setting, you'll collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists and primary care physicians, to deliver comprehensive care to patients. A typical day consists of conducting thorough eye examinations to diagnose vision problems and eye diseases, prescribing corrective lenses and other necessary treatments, and educating patients on proper eye care and preventative measures. Whether working part-time or full-time, you may occasionally be required to accommodate evening or weekend shifts based on the practice's requirements. It's vital to stay updated with advancements in optometry and vision care through continuous education and professional development, ensuring the highest standard of care for your patients.

Who we're seeking: 
You're an energetic professional with a keen interest in anterior surface disease, blepharitis, and dry eye, along with a focus on pediatrics and a particular interest or experience in managing amblyopia cases. You'll have the unique opportunity to engage in research endeavors, including participation in studies related to pediatric ophthalmology, dry eye, and eyelid conditions, among others, such as PEDIG and commercial studies. To excel in this role, you must possess strong diagnostic and treatment skills coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Meticulous attention to detail in maintaining accurate patient records while functioning effectively both independently and as an integral part of a collaborative team is essential. An unwavering dedication to providing exceptional patient care is paramount.

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited optometry schoolCurrent optometry license in the state of Pennsylvania

Preferred Qualifications:

Completed subspecialty fellowshipExperience in pediatrics or glaucoma carePrevious experience as an optician is preferred
