Optometrist - Frederick

The Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is seeking an optometrist to join the Wilmer Eye Institute's comprehensive eye care division. This individual will work independently to provide primary ocular evaluations for patients at Wilmer Eye Institute's outpatient clinic location in Frederick, MD.
+ Our Frederick location provides subspecialty care including neuro-ophthalmology, glaucoma, pediatrics, cornea and medical retina in addition to comprehensive eye care. Onsite referral/ consultation/ collaboration is available.
+ Common encounters include diabetic eye examinations; evaluation of dry eye disease, cataracts, and glaucoma; Plaquenil screenings; co-management with subspecialists including post-operative care; and triage of urgent eye or vision concerns. Interest in ocular disease, dry eye and/or specialty contact lenses is desired but not mandatory.
+ Wilmer Frederick is located in one of the fastest growing counties in Maryland. Only 1 hour away from Baltimore and Washington, DC. Frederick offers great school districts, a vibrant and historical downtown area with shops and restaurants and convenient access to outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and boating.

Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience or successful completion of accredited optometry residency program.
Education
- Graduation from an accredited school of Optometry required.
Salary: Dependent upon rank, Assistant Faculty, Instructor & Assistant Professor $110,000 - $135,000; Associate Professor $135,000 - $219,000*
