About Heritage Valley Eye Care
Serving the Heritage Valley for over eight decades with an exceptional eye care experience focused on comfort and satisfaction is the tradition of Heritage Valley Eye Care. With two thriving practice locations in Santa Paula and Fillmore, patients can expect comprehensive eye care and gold-standard service. The practice specializes in medical eye care, ocular disease diagnoses, treatment and management, specialty contact lenses, and eye care for special populations. Additionally, the Optometrists co-manage patient cases across all specialties in partnership with primary care physicians and ophthalmology specialists in the area. To support the practice expansion into nearby cities, Heritage Valley Eye Care is looking to add an Optometrist to the team of 13 staff members.
Committed to preserving vision for life, Heritage Valley Eye Care utilizes cutting-edge technology to manage conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration, and hypertension and diabetes with greater precision. The practice is well-equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment, including optical coherence tomography, Optos, threshold fields, and technology for minor surgical procedures. The practice flow is highly efficient, enabling the doctors to care for 14 patients daily with additional follow-ups. Patients receive personalized support from the Opticians as they browse unique eyewear collections from the optical boutique.
About the Optometrist Position
Heritage Valley Eye Care is seeking an Optometrist passionate about providing the highest level of patient care, has excellent patient communication skills, and is an overall team player with a strong work ethic. You’ll offer comprehensive eye care services and perform refractive exams, contact lens fittings, medical eye care, correlation charting, and coding of examinations. You’ll have the unique opportunity to care for various ocular diseases, patients, and special populations—while working alongside experts in a supportive environment. As a valued member of the team, you’ll directly contribute to the continuous development and expansion of Heritage Valley Eye Care; for the right Optometrist, a future partnership or ownership opportunity may be available.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a broad scope of primary eye care and the ability to chart and code with precision. Additionally, the candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate flexibility and autonomy in a private setting. Finally, the candidate will want to develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors and integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.
Minimum qualifications include:
• Optometry license in the state of California
Preferred specialties include:
• Ability to care for all ages and across a wide range of patient needs such as glaucoma and contact lenses
