Optometry Technician
Overview Expected pay for this position is $20.41 - $24.01/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. POSITION SUMMARY: An optometry technician assists optometrists in providing eye care services. They perform various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the practice, helping with patient care, diagnostic testing, and administrative duties. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma GED Licensure/ Certification: Current CPR certification through American Heart Associate within 90 days of hire. Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Previous experience in an eye care setting Basic knowledge of eye anatomy and vision care Licensure/Certification: Certified Paraoptometric (CPO Certification) certification from the American Optometric Association or Joint Commission on Allied health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO).
