Position Summary
Responsible for monitoring performance and progress against KPI goals. Investigate defective materials and processes. Serve as the decision maker on product shipment.Role and Responsibilities
1. Conduct product inspections and make immediate decisions on defects that are out of specifications based on final end-user products
2. Ensure OQC associates are following all processes for their specific roles and responsibilities
3. Manage updates to Quality Inspection Standards and suggest revisions with new inspection and testing procedures.
4. Compile data and distribute daily progress reports
5. Investigate process defects on production line and support identification and implementation of countermeasures.
6. Verify the effectiveness of the countermeasures through logical process to end user.
7. Track training of associates.
8. People Management
-- Train, mentor, guide, and coach associates as needed.
-- Monitor time keeping and approve time cards, which includes monitoring and calculating Bereavement Leave, FMLA, Jury Duty, Military Leave, PTO, STD, Parental Leave, etc.
-- Manage individual employee performance by conducting performance evaluations and delivering performance improvement notifications.
9. Perform all other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma or GED plus 3 years in production required; OR an Associate Degree preferred
• Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in a supervisory role and / or leadership role, plus a minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance at a manufacturing company
• Knowledge: Experience with testing and measuring equipment (Calipers, micrometers, height gauge, tensile and hardness gauges)
• Skills: Strong problem solving ability (Root Cause Analysis), good verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in standard office software including MS Office, Statistical Process Control (SPC) Analysis
• Physical requirement: All employees for all positions must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 lbs.
