The purpose of Business Strategist Senior is to manage and advance CommonSpirit’s delivery network by defining and executing on strategic and transformational initiatives aligned with Common Spirit’s corporate strategic plan. This position is essential to providing direction to matrixed teams by identifying opportunities and shaping initiatives with clear objectives. This position is largely responsible for achieving these initiatives through the management of quality & performance metrics, payor partnerships & contracting, network development & operations, and population health programs. To drive success, thisposition will need to demonstrate advanced skills in strategy, data analytics, program management, process management, communication, and organizational relationships. They are expected to drive alignment across multiple cross functional teams including clinical, operations, IT, finance, marketing & communication, and strategy. Schedule- 40hrs/wk- Days- 0800-1630 Qualifications: In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: + Bachelor Degree Required -Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Healthcare, Information Management or related field. + Master Degree Preferred - Master's degree in Business or Health Administration. + 5 or more years formal project management + 5 or more years in healthcare, or related industry, preferred + Prior experience in healthcare operations within the operating room or similar complex healthcare environment highly preferred + Ability to analyze data, develop financial models for decision making, evaluate capital equipment acquisitions, and develop Pro-Formas for new programs/projects + Ability to facilitate and participate in physician and staff projects, including excellent communication and presentation skills for management-level audiences. + Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required within six months of hire Strong presentation, PowerPoint, Excel, project management software and communication skills Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly) Your Connected Community: We believe in the healing power of humanity and serving the common good through our dedicated work and shared mission to celebrate humankindness. St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I trauma center, which allows the Perioperative Department to see a wide range of patient needs and acuity levels. We are unique in the community because have a designated trauma room that is at the ready 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The trauma room (T-10) allows for the facility to triage any patient meeting specific criteria in an operating room, bypassing the ED, and has a designated response team of approximately eight different units with unique roles during a trauma team activation allowing prompt immediate surgical intervention within minutes of arrival by our partners in EMS and Flight for Life. The surgical unit itself has 17 rooms including the trauma room, a hybrid room, designated cardiac OR and a Cystoscopy room. We have two DaVinci Xi Robotic systems allowing us to provide robotically assisted procedures in general, urology, gynecology and thoracic specialties. Currently there are 17 different specialties provided here at SAH including trauma, neuro, ortho, general, cardiac, vascular, ENT, plastics, urology, GYN, thoracic, and more. Our caseload for 2019 was 5,859 procedures in this unit alone. We have one specialized team for cardiac, all other employees are cross-trained for all remaining specialties allowing for increased knowledge base of surgical procedures, skill level and ability to cover any patient care needs.
