Job Title: OR Central Supply Technician I **Shift: 11p-7a** **Job Summary:** The OR Central Supply Technician I is responsible for ensuring the availability, organization, and proper stocking of anesthesia and surgical supplies in the operating room (OR) and related areas. This role involves maintaining inventory levels, placing supply orders, organizing stock in designated areas, and supporting the operating room staff by ensuring timely access to necessary materials. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining a well-stocked and efficient operating environment. **Key Responsibilities:** • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels for anesthesia and intraoperative supplies to ensure adequate stock is maintained at all times. • Ordering Supplies: Order anesthesia and surgical supplies as needed, ensuring timely delivery and availability of essential items. • Stocking Supplies: Restock and organize anesthesia supplies in operating rooms and designated supply areas to meet daily requirements. • Equipment Readiness: Ensure anesthesia carts and related equipment are fully stocked and ready for use before surgical procedures. • Supply Rotation: Rotate stock to minimize waste, ensure proper usage of items before expiration, and comply with storage regulations. • Supply Room Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in supply storage areas and ensure compliance with infection control standards. • Communication: Collaborate with anesthesia staff, OR nurses, and other team members to identify supply needs and address shortages promptly. • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, supply usage, and orders placed for tracking and reporting purposes. • Quality Assurance: Inspect supplies for damages or expiration, and report or replace items as needed. • Physical activity, including standing, bending, and lifting, required throughout the shift. **Qualifications:** • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Prior experience in supply management, inventory control, or a healthcare-related field preferred. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Ability to lift and transport supplies and equipment as needed. • Familiarity with operating room and/or anesthesia environments is a plus. • Effective communication and teamwork skills to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Basic computer skills for inventory management systems and ordering.
