Overview

OR and PACU RN

Circulating OR rooms, stocking supplies, recovering patients in PACU, assisting with TEE's and anesthesia blocks as needed.

Transporting patients from various departments to the OR/PACU and back. 

Hours are 7-3 with lates.

No holidays, weekends, nights or call required.

Responsibilities

Working conditions:
Physical:
Able to access entire facility; lift, transport patients, supplies and equipment.
Demonstrates manual dexterity, hearing acuity, and verbal ability. Displays ability for
standing long periods of time, walking, lifting, bending, and stooping for the majority of
the workday. Has sufficient endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time.
Involves exposure to blood/body fluids, hazardous materials and communicable diseases.
Participates in creating a safety culture by optimizing safety at all times.
Psychosocial:
Able to deal with frustration and stress appropriately. Able to facilitate effective and
professional communication with staff, charge person, physicians and other departments.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to
perform the essential functions of this position.
Education/formal training/licensure/certification experience:
1. Current North Carolina RN license or RN multi-state licensure privilege through the
Nurse Licensure Compact required.
2. One to two years OR experience preferred
3. CNOR recommended
4. BCLS required
