We are seeking a full-time (RN) nurse to join our surgical team in Fort Worth, Texas. The schedule varies from 6:00 am - 5:00 pm two weeks out of the month when we are in cycle doing surgical cases. The other two weeks of the month will primarily be spent on surgical administrative tasks and the schedule is flexible.

We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the ASC RN is responsible for:
Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed Provide patient educationWhat You'll Bring:
The skills and education we need are:
Active RN license Current BLS and ACLS certification 2-3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred Charge or Lead experience preferred In office procedure room experience preferred Strong technical and clinical assessment skills Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment Ability to communicate accurately and conciselyMore important than the best skills, however, is the right person.
