Responsibilities:

Operating Room Program Manager

This role manages multiple teammates and services on-site at the University of Virginia (UVA) and communicates frequently with hospital leadership to affect decisions involving supply spending and patient care.

The OR Program Manager is familiar with QSight, SurgiTrack, PANDAC service options, and coordinates teammate resources and supply movement on site at UVA according to customer needs

This position highlights Owens & Minor service capabilities through presentations to hospital directors, educational in-services for clinicians and forming trusted relationships with leadership. Through these relationships, the program manager understands the urgency of medical supplies, anticipates problems and is flexible in applying solutions.

In addition to fostering trusted relationships with Cath Lab, OR and Endoscopy leadership, the OR Program Manager leads and supports Owens & Minor teammates in delegation of duties, timecard maintenance, leave requests and other administrative duties including development of training, standard operating procedures, and noting key departmental processes.

The OR Program Manager is familiar with activities performed by each on site teammate and able to substitute for any position when necessary.

Strong leadership skills, willingness to learn processes, assess situations proactively, as well as good verbal and written communication skills are key to success in this position. Knowledge of Excel, Power BI, good training and coaching skills as well as flexibility are important tools and attributes for this position.
