Responsibilities

South Kansas City SurgiCenter is looking for a per diem, day shift Operating Room/Surgical Tech who is empathetic and has good communication skills. We have a collaborative culture focused on positive outcomes, opportunities for professional growth and so much more.  Our OR/Surg Tech duties include but are not limited to:

responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned proceduremaintaining sterile field during caseproviding surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned proceduresable to work well under stressful and emergency situationsable to act quickly and accuratelythis position does not require being on-call nor working weekends/holidays! Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

graduation from an accredited ORT/Surgical Tech program AND minimum one year of experience, requiredon-the-job trained techs minimum 2 years experience in a main OR surgical setting, requiredmust be proficient in the following specialties: ENT and Plasticsexperience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., General, Ortho, Urology, Ophthalmic, Pain, Colo-Rectal)current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
