We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and security of our Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will manage critical database operations, support application development teams, and implement robust solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge Oracle technologies, including RAC, Data Guard, and ASM, while leveraging advanced automation tools and best practices.

Key Responsibilities Database Administration Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software (11g, 12c, 19c, or later). Manage database instances, schemas, tablespaces, and objects such as tables, indexes, and views. Plan and execute seamless database migrations and upgrades. Monitor and improve database performance using tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and SQL*Plus. Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and system configurations to enhance performance. Configure and maintain high-availability solutions, including Oracle RAC and Data Guard. Utilize Oracle GoldenGate for replication and data integration tasks. Implement and test robust backup and recovery strategies using RMAN. Performance and Security Diagnose and resolve database issues related to connectivity, performance, and data integrity. Identify and resolve bottlenecks related to storage, memory, and CPU utilization. Implement database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and auditing. Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements. Regularly apply patches and updates to maintain database health and address vulnerabilities. Collaboration and Automation Collaborate with developers to design and optimize database structures and PL/SQL code. Support the development of stored procedures, triggers, and views. Automate database maintenance tasks using shell scripts or tools like Ansible. Conduct disaster recovery tests to validate recovery objectives. Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and best practices. Generate regular reports on database health, performance, and capacity planning. Qualifications and Skills Required Skills Expertise in Oracle Database Administration, including RAC, ASM, and Data Guard. Proficiency in tools like RMAN, OEM, and SQL*Plus. Strong knowledge of PL/SQL programming and SQL query optimization. Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning. Familiarity with partitioning, materialized views, and indexing strategies. Knowledge of database security practices, including encryption and auditing. Preferred Skills Experience with Oracle Exadata and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash or Python for automation. Understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5–11 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in a production environment.
