Kforce has a client that is seeking an Oracle DBA in Chantilly, VA. Responsibilities: * Oracle DBA will provide Oracle database and Oracle WebLogic support running on Solaris and UNIX * Provide temporary administrative support of existing Oracle standalone (11g and 12c) database environments * Install and configure Oracle on Linux, with possible future installation on Windows servers * Migration of existing 11g/12c databases to Oracle 19c, then provide support to migrated 19c databases * Apply quarterly updates and patches to Oracle instances * Provide on-call support for applications as requested * As an Oracle DBA, you will research and analyze emerging Oracle database technologies, techniques, and protocols * Provide ongoing progress to leadership, system owners, and peers regarding health of the various Oracle environments * Basic monitoring and tuning using Oracle Enterprise Manager and other utilities * Assure the performance of an Oracle database * Backing up and recovering databases, using RMAN and data pump * Ensure continuity and availability of the database; Use Oracle's native backup and restore features and other third-party tools
