Complete Description:  Oracle DBA
Works with the software engineering team to provide support of the Oracle relational database environment. Provides consultation on relational database design, implementation and technical issues to our systems development team.  Provides recommendations for upgrades to Oracle relational databases.  Provides recommendations for database security.  Provides support for database backup and recovery.  Works with the Department's Information Security Officer (ISO) and management to establish policy and procedures for database security.  Monitors and optimizes the performance of application systems databases.  Identifies and resolves relational database problems.  Contacts and informs systems development staff on proper design and implementation of relational databases.  Works with systems development staff to troubleshoot and monitor systems for potential problems.  Installs, configures and maintains Oracle system software and related products to ensure correct upgrades, patches and fixes are in place.
