Position Summary

Finance and Performance Oracle EPM Specialist Master

Finance & Performance – Unlocking financial performance and enterprise value.

We work as trusted advisors to CFOs, COOs, CIOs, and other key executives to advise, implement, and deliver as-a service solutions, improving finance operations and helping clients develop strategies to support enterprise-wide decision making.

Work You'll Do

As a Specialist Master, you will lead and deliver small engagements or components of larger, more complex Finance Transformation engagements (related to Enterprise Performance Management) by identifying, designing, and implementing creative business and technology solutions for large companies.

Specialist Masters ~

·         Provide service excellence by identifying key client business issues.

·         Determine client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches.

·         Evaluate and validate analysis and develop recommendations for the client in the context of the overall engagement.

·         Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables by effectively managing the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance.

·         Participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities. 

·         Manage, mentor, and develop team members.

The Team

Our Finance and Performance team works as a trusted advisor to CFOs, COOs, CIOs, and key executives. We advise, implement, and deliver as-a-service solutions, helping our clients develop strategies and capabilities to support enterprise-wide decision making, improve finance operations, and create impact within their organization.

Finance Insights & Transformation

Our FI&T team transforms Finance from function to dynamic capability. As finance cycles converge, we advise, implement, and operate Best in Class solutions across actuals and forecast to accelerate insights including finance and analytics, planning, FP&A as -a-service, finance technology strategy, and ERP enabled finance transformation.

Required Qualifications

·         Must have completed at least two (2) full life cycle cloud-based Oracle EPM implementations to include such modules as EPBCS, FCCS, and/or ARCS.

·         Six (6) plus years of relevant consulting experience in a corporate environment or with a large or boutique consulting firm or serving as an internal consultant within industry.

·         Relevant experience implementing Oracle Cloud EPM Technologies such as Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS) with Financial Close & Consolidation | Account Reconciliation Cloud FCCS/ARCS experience or Enterprise Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS) with business rules and Groovy experience

·         Experience with defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.

·         Relevant experience in technology implementation methodology and cycles (Development, Testing, Documentation, Cutover, Deployment, Hypercare).

·         Proven experience in terms of Project Management (Resource, Scope, Budget), with an emphasis on tech implementation solutions.

·         Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud (FCCS), and/or Financial Data Quality Management or Planning Cloud (EPBCS) solutions including writing calculation scripts and building applications from end-to-end.

·         Proven experience interacting and communicating with both business-oriented and IT-oriented clients.

·         Proven track record of success in identifying and addressing client needs and developing EPM solutions that solve complex business problems.

·         Understanding of system deployment methodologies (Agile, Hybrid Agile, Waterfall).

·         Ability to translate process requirements into technology functionality; ability to translate technology functionality into process improvements.

·         Relevant knowledge or experience as a Data Base Administrator and Data Base Architecture.

·         Ability to travel up to 50%, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

·         Bachelor’s degree from accredited university

·         Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Relevant knowledge or experience in ETL/Data Transformation tools and databases

·         Relevant Knowledge on Oracle EPM tools that enable compliance checks and processes (Audit Logs, SOX, etc.)

·         Understanding of finance business processes, including forecasting and budgeting cycles, and actual corporate reporting requirements

·         Relevant knowledge or experience on planning/budgeting process industry benchmarks and best practices

·         Ability to interact at all levels of the client organization, build consensus, and foster change.

·         Ability to work independently, manage small engagements or parts of larger engagements. 

·         Experience with pre-sales, proposals, and RFP activities.

·         Superior analytical and critical thinking skills.

·         Willingness to mentor and counsel junior staff

·         Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills; professional competence in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $137,700 to $229,500.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
