Oracle Technical SOA Consultant

Work you’ll do/Responsibilities

A Tech SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing SOA solutions to ensure seamless integration and communication between different software applications and services within an organization. Below are the key roles and responsibilities typically associated with this position:1. Architecture Design and ImplementationRequirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for SOA solutions.Solution Design: Design SOA solutions that align with business needs, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.Service Development: Develop and implement web services, APIs, and other SOA components using appropriate technologies and standards (e.g., SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML, JSON).2. Project ManagementStakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide project updates and manage expectations.Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.3. Performance OptimizationSystem Monitoring: Monitor the performance of SOA solutions and identify areas for improvement.Performance Tuning: Implement performance tuning measures to enhance the efficiency and speed of SOA components and services.Scalability: Design and implement scalable SOA solutions to accommodate growing business needs and increased transaction volumes.4. Security ManagementSecurity Policies: Develop and enforce security policies and best practices for SOA solutions.Access Control: Implement access control mechanisms to ensure secure communication and data exchange between services.5. Testing and Quality AssuranceTest Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans to validate SOA components and services.Testing Execution: Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to ensure the solution meets business requirements.Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve issues discovered during testing phases.6. Documentation and TrainingDocumentation: Create detailed technical documentation

Qualifications
Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and implementing SOA solutions.Proficiency in web services, APIs, and SOA technologies and standards (e.g., SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML, JSON).Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.Experience with performance tuning and optimization of SOA components.Knowledge of security best practices and access control mechanisms for SOA solutions.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.Strong communication and project management skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Limited immigration sponsorship may be availableAbility to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. This may include overnight travel.Expectation to co-locate in your designated Delivery location up to 30% of the time based on business needs. This may include a maximum of 10% overnight client/project travel.Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experienceMust live in a commutable distance to or be willing to relocate to one of the following Delivery locations: Gilbert, AZ; Lake Mary, FL; Mechanicsburg, PA; Philadelphia, PA; Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; or Houston, TX 

Preferred Skills:

Experience with cloud-based SOA solutions and platforms.Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.Certification in SOA or related technologies.
