Assists the Pharmacist in providing medication and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists the Pharmacist in providing medication and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physician, and other hospital personnel. Doses medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. Maintains inventory of medications and supplies, and reorders them accordingly. Restocks and maintains automated dispensing machines and anesthesia machines. Processes records of medications dispensed to patients or customers, computes charges, and enters them into the computer system. Prepares, evaluates, and interprets medication usage, including narcotic usage, into applicable reports. Receives and stores incoming deliveries of medication and supplies in appropriate storage conditions. Participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement and CQI activities. Assists the Pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care for patients ranging in age from newborn to the elderly. Is able to identify and understand that there are dosage variations between newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and knows to consult with the Pharmacist if any doubts or questions arise.ABOUT MOUNTAIN VIEW:
