Weld Prep (Saugerties, NY)

The Weld Prepper is responsible for welding, cutting, and assembly of metals parts according to work order, blue-print and verbal direction. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Familiarization with orbital welding system to develop competency in order to weld metal parts according to work orders, blue print layouts and verbal instructionsFamiliarization with gas flow characteristicsCompetency with basic department functions, including but not limited to the fundamentals of orbital welding overallUse of inspection gauges such as micrometersFollow blueprints to meet product specifications and maintain tight tolerancesWear Personal Protective Equipment as required by job detailParticipate in training provided by seasoned employees to learn basic department functionsMaintains awareness of workload and plans workflow accordinglyMaintain tools, gauges, and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe mannerComply with company policies and procedures, paying special attention to safety requirements.Follow clean room protocolPerform all other duties as assigned

Education, Certifications and Experience:

High School Diploma, equivalent, or related experience requiredPrevious industry experience preferred

Salary Range: $20 - $24 per hour 

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
